L'Oreal Fashion
The L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival was selected as the appropriate event to launch and communicate the Alpaca brand and its product potential through a fashion show. To quote from the Festival literature:
The Festival has grown to become Australia's largest consumer oriented fashion event. Held annually each march, the Festival launches the autumn/winter collections of Australia's leading fashion designers, labels, and fashion retailers in a series of sophisticated fashion shows accompanied by mass media marketing and publicity campaigns…" The concept of enlisting the endorsement of eight of Australia's top fashion designers, and utilising Australian manufactured products in their designs was highly successful in raising awareness of Australian Alpaca in the markets. The Australian Alpaca Designer Collections comprised beautifully designed garments aimed at the mid to high-end consumer markets. Designers included:
